Beth Torbert, known professionally as Bif Naked, was born on June 15, 1971, in New Delhi, India. She is a Canadian singer who began her career performing with underground bands before releasing her self-titled solo album Bif Naked in 1994. Her breakthrough came with the release of I Bificus in 1998, which went multiplatinum internationally and featured the hit single "Spaceman", reaching Number 1 on Billboard Canada. She followed this success with albums such as Purge (2001) and Superbeautifulmonster (2005). In 2009, she released The Promise, an album recorded during her chemotherapy for breast cancer. Bif Naked has collaborated with numerous artists including Snoop Dogg, Billy Idol, and Dido, and her music has been featured in various films and TV shows such as Buffy the Vampire Slayer and American Psycho 2. She also pursued acting, appearing in films like Archangel and television series such as The L Word.
