Beyond The Embrace was an American melodic death metal band from New Bedford, Massachusetts formed in 2000. The group consisted of Shawn Gallagher on vocals and Oscar Gouveia on guitar, with Jeff Saude and Alex Botelho as additional guitarists, Mike Bresciani on drums, and Adam Gonsalves on bass. Their debut album, Against the Elements, was released in 2002 via Metal Blade Records. The band embarked on tours supporting acts such as Kataklysm, Divine Empire, Misery Index, Opeth, Lacuna Coil, and Prong in the early 2000s. Their second album, Insect Song, was produced by Ken Susi and released in 2004. The band faced numerous challenges including health issues and vehicle breakdowns during tours, which led to cancellations and lineup changes. Despite these obstacles, Beyond The Embrace continued to perform at notable events like the New England Metal and Hardcore Festival.
