Espen Beranek Holm, known professionally as Beranek, born on March 23, 1960, in Oslo, Norway, is a Norwegian pop artist, comedian, and musician. His debut single "Dra te' hælvete" in 1981 marked the beginning of his music career, which gained significant attention despite being banned by NRK. Following this release, Holm produced several albums including Sound of Danger in 1981, X-Ray in 1983, and Trigger in 1984. Notable collaborations included working with Jean Jaques Burnel from the Stranglers on Trigger. Throughout his career, he was involved in various bands such as Dei Nye Kapellanane, Langsomt Mot Nord, Spastisk Ekstase, and Ung Pike Forsvunnet. He released the album Sensitive Dependence in 2013.
