Born of French and American parents on June 16, 1992, Justin Taylor began playing the harpsichord at the Conservatoire d'Angers at the age of eleven. In 2011, he entered the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris in the classes of Olivier Baumont and Blandine Rannou for harpsichord, and Roger Muraro for piano, which he studied in parallel. After graduating with honors in 2015, the young musician went on to win further awards, including first prize and audience prize at the Bruges International Harpsichord Competition, and the Prix Alpha for his first recording with the label: La Famille Forqueray: Portrait(s), released in 2016. Also a member of the OFJB (Orchestre Français des Jeunes Baroque), Justin Taylor collaborates with the ensemble Le Consort, participating in the albums Opus 1 (2019) and Specchio Veneziano (2021), as well as Eva Zaïcik's recital Venez Chère Ombre (2022). Following his album La Famille Rameau (2021), he records the collection Les Frères FrancÅur with one of the Consort's members, violinist Théotime Langlois de Swarte (2022), then examines the links between J. S. Bach and the Italian composers Vivaldi, A. Scarlatti and Marcello in Bach & l'Italie (2023), awarded a Diapason d'or. He takes part in William Christie's Bill & Friends and violinist Sophie de Bardonnèche's Destinées, before taking a detour into the Romantic period with the florilegium Chopin Intime (2025), played on the small upright piano that Camille Pleyel delivered to the composer in 1839.
