Biography

Benjamin Foster (born 8 April 1968), known as “Ben Weasel”, is an American punk rock singer, songwriter, and guitarist. He established a reputation as the lead vocalist of Screeching Weasel, a band he formed in 1986 with John Pierson following his time at the Élan School. The group released its debut album Screeching Weasel in 1987, followed by Boogadaboogadaboogada! (1988) and My Brain Hurts (1991). Between breaks in the band’s activity, Foster formed the Riverdales in 1994 and launched a solo career. His solo discography includes the studio albums Fidatevi (2002) and These Ones Are Bitter (2007), alongside the 2009 live recording The Brain That Wouldn't Die. Foster also established the label Panic Button Records and authored the novel Like Hell.
