Barrettâ¯Hankinsâ¯Baber, born onâ¯18â¯Mayâ¯1980 in Arkansas, is an American country singer whose career began in 2004 with the release of Fratbar Superstar. His early work laid the foundation for a steady progression in the country and countryârock genres. In 2012 he issued the album Colt Square Sessions, followed by Battlefield Us in 2013, and the extended play Falling Again in 2015, each building his profile within the national market. Baberâs participation in seasonâ¯9 of NBCâs The Voice in late 2015 marked a pivotal breakthrough; during the competition he performed "Angel Eyes", "I Drive Your Truck", "Right Here Waiting", "Delta Dawn", and "I'd Love to Lay You Down", the last of which peaked at Numberâ¯1 on the Billboard Country Digital Songs chart and entered the Hotâ¯100 at numberâ¯92.
