Biography

Barrett Hankins Baber, born on 18 May 1980 in Arkansas, is an American country singer whose career began in 2004 with the release of Fratbar Superstar. His early work laid the foundation for a steady progression in the country and country‑rock genres. In 2012 he issued the album Colt Square Sessions, followed by Battlefield Us in 2013, and the extended play Falling Again in 2015, each building his profile within the national market. Baber’s participation in season 9 of NBC’s The Voice in late 2015 marked a pivotal breakthrough; during the competition he performed "Angel Eyes", "I Drive Your Truck", "Right Here Waiting", "Delta Dawn", and "I'd Love to Lay You Down", the last of which peaked at Number 1 on the Billboard Country Digital Songs chart and entered the Hot 100 at number 92. Following the show, he released the single "Kiss Me Hello" in February 2016 and the album A Room Full of Fighters in November 2016, the latter topping the iTunes charts within a day of release. These achievements underscored Baber’s commercial viability and cemented his presence in contemporary country music.
