Die Arbeit, a rock band from Dresden, Germany, emerged as an evolution of the local band Leo hört Rauschen in 2011. The group quickly became a staple in the German post-punk scene with their distinctive sound and socially conscious lyrics. In 2018, Die Arbeit released their first singles "Leichen" and "Visier", marking their initial breakthrough. The band also collaborated with Freibank Musikverlag in 2019 and gained notable recognition with the exclusive premiere of their video "Haut, Knochen und Gesichter" on November 8, 2019, featured by the online music magazine Diffus. Their debut studio album Material was released in 2020, under Undressed Records, showcasing their signature blend of classic rock instrumentation with atmospheric guitar tones. The band's second album, Wandel, followed in 2022.
