Biography
Bandit Bandit is a French rock group formed in 2018, originating from Montpellier. The duo consists of Maëva Nicolas on vocals and Hugo Herleman on guitar, who met in 2015 through the dating app Tinder. Their initial breakthrough came with the release of their first EP, Bandit Bandit, in October 2019. This was followed by notable singles such as "Maux" and "Fever". In 2020, they were selected among the young talents at the Francofolies de La Rochelle and Printemps de Bourges festivals. The group released their second EP, Tachycardie, in 2021 and subsequently moved to Lyon. Their debut album, 11:11, was released on September 29, 2023. Bandit Bandit's music is characterized by a rock sound with garage rock influences, drawing inspiration from bands like Queens of the Stone Age and Black Rebel Motorcycle Club. In 2024, the band partnered with Chien Noir for the single "Méchant garçon", before the release of their sophomore album, Cavalcades "Ce Que la Nuit Ne Dit Pas", in March 2026.
