Kaleidoscope, an English psychedelic rock band from London, was formed in 1967. The group consisted of Eddy Pumer on guitar and organ, Steve Clark on bass and flute, Danny Bridgman on drums, and Peter Daltrey on lead vocals and organ. Initially known as The Sidekicks, they evolved through various names before settling on Kaleidoscope when they signed with Fontana Records in January 1967. Their debut single "Flight from Ashiya" was released in September 1967, followed by their first album Tangerine Dream two months later. The band performed live on several BBC Radio shows and toured Europe supporting Country Joe and the Fish. Kaleidoscope's second album Faintly Blowing was released in April 1969. Despite critical acclaim for their music, the band did not achieve major commercial success during their active years. They disbanded by 1972. Eddy Pumer died on September 21, 2020, while Steve Clark passed away on May 1, 1999.
