Singer-songwriter Bahjat Alturjman was born in Libya, but at the age of 15 in 2011 he and his family fled the country as the civil war broke out. They first moved to Malta where, to make money for his family, Alturjman gave maths and physics lessons to other children. He also began to write and record music which gained airplay on Maltese radio. The family then relocated to Sweden where he has released several singles and an EP called '3:11 AM'.
