Biography
Baby Woodrose is a Danish psychedelic and garage rock ensemble formed in 2001 in Copenhagen. The group was founded by Uffe Lorenzen, who performed under the alias Lorenzo Woodrose. Initially a solo project, the band expanded to a trio with bassist Riky Woodrose and drummer Rocco Woodrose. The ensemble released its debut studio album, Blows Your Mind!, in 2001. Public recognition in Denmark followed the 2003 release of Money for Soul, which received the P3 Award. Lorenzen subsequently departed the band On Trial to focus on the group. Discography included the recordings Live at Gutter Island (2003), Dropout! (2004), and Love Comes Down (2006). The 2012 album Third Eye Surgery utilized a space rock sound. The ensemble released the recording Freedom in 2016 and announced a hiatus from live performances that summer. Lorenzen later released solo material, including the album Galmandsværk (2017).
