Biography
La CofradÃa de la Flor Solar was an Argentinean musical group formed in 1968 within a hippie community in La Plata. The band, influenced by flower power and pacifism, included musicians, artisans, and intellectuals. Their debut single "Sombra fugaz por la ciudad"/"La mufa" was released under the VIK label in 1969. In 1970, they performed at the B.A. Rock festival alongside notable acts like Los Gatos and Manal. Their self-titled debut album, produced by Jorge Ãlvarez and supervised by Billy Bond, was released in 1971 but the group disbanded shortly after due to internal conflicts within the community. Members went on to join other prominent bands such as Billy Bond y La Pesada del Rock and Roll and Patricio Rey y sus Redonditos de Ricota. The group reunited briefly in 1997 and 2007, releasing new albums titled El café de los ciegos and Kundabuffer.
