Biography
Baby Neelou is a rapper from the Basque country who grew up between Biarritz and Los Angeles. The son of an African-American father and a Moroccan mother, he draws his inspiration from soul and jazz as well as American trap, notably Young Thug, Future and Chief Keef. He began to make a name for himself in January 2023 with his debut album Bromance, a project that marked a turning point in his career. The album includes collaborations with 8ruki and Leust, and standout tracks such as "Parmigiano", "Phinéas & Ferb" and "Cassius". In May 2024, he releases the EP Le Chemin du CÅur, an introspective project where he refines his musical identity through airy productions and personal lyrics. Baby Neelou aims to create a bridge between new wave and the more traditional rap scene, seeking to bring together both fans of technical rap and those attracted by more modern, experimental sounds. His collaboration with Caballero illustrates this desire to unite these different aesthetics. Thanks to his artistic choices and his hybrid approach to rap, Baby Neelou continues to enrich his musical universe and expand his audience.
