Biography
AAMO is a Swiss rapper from the Grottes district of Geneva. A member of the NGC 1976 collective, he works alongside artists, sound engineers, beatmakers, directors and photographers. Influenced by Ateyaba and Alpha Wann, as well as Afro music, AAMO stands out for his sharp, technical flow, combined with a calm, sometimes whispered voice. His visual universe is highly polished, as evidenced by the video for "Usual Suspect Freestyle", directed by the duo Sable Rouge. In 2022, he released his first album, Sur ma lancée, which attracted the attention of the specialist media. In 2023, he collaborated with Yvnnis and Arsaphe, while increasing his live appearances, notably at Les Ardentes and Grunt Festival. In June 2023, he unveils the LAKEHOUSE SEASON project, in collaboration with Slimka, Yvnnis and Sonny Rave, where he explores Afro sounds and sung elements. In 2024, AAMO released his second album, CHARBONNER OU PRIER, affirming his artistic evolution and commitment to introspective, hard-hitting rap.
