Aziatix was a Korean-American R&B and hip-hop group formed in 2011. The trio consisted of Eddie Shin, Nicky Lee, and rapper Flowsik, all of whom had successful solo careers before coming together. Known for their smooth blend of English and Korean lyrics, Aziatix quickly gained attention for their soulful sound and international appeal. Their debut self-titled EP Aziatix was released in 2011, marking their entry into the music scene with tracks like "Go" and "Cold". Following the EP's success, they released their first full-length album Nocturnal later that same year, featuring the hit single âSlippinâ Awayâ. The album showcased the group's talent for combining R&B melodies with hip-hop beats, and it received critical acclaim both in Korea and abroad. In 2013, Aziatix signed a record-breaking $11.3 million contract with Cash Money Records, making them the first Asian group to join the label. This deal led to the release of their second album Awakening in 2012, featuring tracks like "Speed of Light". Despite their early success and international recognition, the group disbanded in 2015, with members pursuing their individual careers. Aziatix remains remembered for their unique contribution to the global music scene.
