Axe Murder Boyz (AMB) is a Denver-based rap duo composed of brothers Mike and James Garcia, known as Bonez Dubb and Young Wicked (or Otis). Emerging in 1999, the duo quickly carved a niche in the horrorcore and gangsta rap scenes. Their early work under their own label, Axe Recordings, led to the 2004 release of The Unforgiven Forest. Their career breakthrough came in 2005 when they won Psychopathic Records' Underground Psychos contest, resulting in their 2006 album Blood In, Blood Out, which charted on Billboard. AMBâs journey has seen shifts between labels, with notable releases like Gods Hand (2008) under Hatchet House and The Garcia Brothers (2014) during a return to Psychopathic Records. In 2016, Young Wicked joined Majik Ninja Entertainment, and the duo followed with Muerte in 2018. Their ability to merge dark lyrical themes with intense beats solidified their status in the underground rap scene. Despite challenges, including a car accident in 2022, AMB continued to innovate, with releases like the Fatality EP (2020) and solo projects by both members, maintaining their reputation as influential artists in their genre.
