Axé Blond, a Brazilian group from São Paulo, was formed in 1998 to blend pagode baiano and axé music. Their debut album, Axé Blond, released in 1999, featured the hit single "Banho de Iemanjá". In 2002, Lucynha Cintra became the lead vocalist, leading to successful singles like "Samba AÃ" and "Pancadão". The group toured extensively, including a 60-concert tour sponsored by Texaco in 2004. They participated in the São Paulo samba school Vai-Vai and released several albums during this period. Axé Blond resumed activities in 2015 with a new lineup, releasing their live album Axé Blond (Ao Vivo) in 2019.
