Biography

Avalanche City is the stage name of Dave Baxter, a folk musician and songwriter from New Zealand. After graduating in Media Arts he worked writing songs for TV, film and commercials at an Auckland studio before going solo. His 2011 debut album 'Our New Life Above the Ground' featured the New Zealand number one single 'Love Love Love'. In 2015 he released the album 'We Are for the Wild Places', featuring the hit single 'Inside Out'. The bearded Baxter returned in 2019 with the album 'My Babylon' and the single 'Prayed for Love'.
