Aupinard, whose real name is Frédéric Yoan Opina, is a French singer, songwriter and composer born in Bordeaux on December 15, 2001. Of Congolese origin, he discovered the guitar at the age of 12 and was introduced to bossa nova by listening to João Gilberto, a major influence on his musical style. His pseudonym is a contraction of his surname and the word "pinard", in reference to Bordeaux wine. He adopted this nickname, given to him by a friend during his school years. During the confinement of 2020, he develops his artistic identity by fusing bossa nova and R&B, inspired by João Gilberto, D'Angelo, Erykah Badu and Luidji. Luidji became a mentor after they met in 2022 at a concert at the Olympia. In May 2023, he released Aupitape 1: Hortensia, a project dedicated to his grandmother. His single "Quel type de vibe?" is a big hit on social networks. After several EPs and a mixtape, in 2025 he unveils his first album Pluie, Montagnes et Soleil, including the track "Penelope". In 2026, his third album Spleen, Social Club reached No. 91, featuring contributions from Sonny Rave, Anaïs Cardot and Ino Casablanca.
