Asmed, born Jhon Asmed Serna López, is a Colombian urbano singer from Cali whose musical background began in childhood through local bands and school-based projects. He studied vocal technique and guitar in Cali and completed music studies during high school, first working through pop and Latin rock before turning toward reggaetón. In 2020, he moved to Mexico, a trip that became permanent during the pandemic and marked the start of a new phase in his career. His documented release run includes "Repetir" in 2021 and "MUCHO PA TI" in 2023, before a stronger breakthrough in 2024 with singles such as "Colleita Propia," "ChingolBells," "La Bi," and especially "Dudaste." In 2025 he continued with tracks including "Na más," "QLO EN VENTA," and "Perreito A Poca Luz" with El Bogueto, reflecting a clearer connection to the Mexican urbano scene. That same year he performed at Baja Beach Festival, a notable live milestone in a career that has developed between Cali and Mexico. In 2026 he added releases such as "Presente y Pasado" and "Demasiado," extending a catalog centered on reggaetón and melodic urbano singles.
