APB are a Scottish post-punk band from Ellon that formed in 1979. The ensemble consists of the vocalist and bassist Iain Slater, the guitarist Glenn Roberts, and the drummer George Cheyne. They achieved early professional momentum after signing with Oily Records and releasing the single âChain Reactionâ (1981). Their discography includes the single âShoot You Downâ (1981), which became a dance hit in the underground clubs of New York City. The ensemble toured extensively across Europe and the United States and released several singles including âPalace Filled with Loveâ (1982) and âRainy Dayâ (1982). Their first studio album, Something to Believe In, was released in 1985, followed by the recording Cure for the Blues (1986). In 2007, the group released the studio album Three.
