Biography

Boss Hog is what English speakers call a side project for Jon Spencer. The originality of this project lies in the fact that it is produced with Cristina Martinez, his wife in the city. First an honorary member of Pussy Galore, Cristina Martinez caused a sensation at an impromptu concert at CBGB in 1989, where she played naked. Boss Hog was born. Nudity became her trademark, as she appeared in the simplest of garb on the cover of Cold Hands in 1990. While 1995's Boss Hog went unnoticed, the band rose to fame with 2000's Whiteout. Boss Hog was back in the spotlight in 2008, touring the festival circuit in 2009.
