Biography

Antarctigo Vespucci is an American indie rock band formed in 2014 composed of punk musicians Chris Farren and Jeff Rosenstock. The duo's name is a playful reference to Amerigo Vespucci, the explorer credited with discovering America. Their creative process typically began with demos from Farren, which Rosenstock would refine into finished products. Antarctigo Vespucci released their debut EP Soulmate Stuff in 2014, followed by I'm So Tethered later that year. In 2015, they released their first full-length album, Leavin' La Vida Loca, and were listed by Stereogum as one of the top 50 new bands of 2015. The band's second full-length album, Love in the Time of E-Mail, was released in October 2018 under Polyvinyl Record Co., featuring the single "White Noise". Antarctigo Vespucci also gained attention for their podcast, Back to the Island, which featured theme songs created by Farren and Rosenstock.
