Biography
The Ant Trip Ceremony was an American psychedelic rock band formed in Logan, Utah, in 1967. The group's initial lineup included Steve Detray on lead guitar, who later attended Oberlin College in Ohio, where the band continued to perform. In the summer of 1967, the band began performing locally. Their debut album, 24 Hours, was released in 1968. Tracks included "Hey Joe" and "Locomotive Lamp". The album showcased an experimental electronic rock style with Eastern influences. Following their graduation from Oberlin College in 1968, the band disbanded. In 1999, Collectables Records released a reissue of 24 Hours, followed by another edition in 2010.
