Namık UÄurlu, known professionally as Ankaralı Namık, was born on April 30, 1976, in Turkey. He was a singer specializing in Halk (Turkish folkloric music) and world music. His stage name, "Ankaralı," signifies his musical roots in the ethnic music of Ankara. Ankaralı Namık's career began with notable songs such as "Arabada BeÅ, Evde OnbeÅ" and "Dar Geldi Sana Ankara." Throughout his career, he collaborated with various labels such as Ãzmüzik, Tutku Müzik, ECM Müzik, Kenan Kaya Prodüksiyon, Cinan Müzik, and Class Production. Tragically, on September 19, 2015, Ankaralı Namık was involved in a traffic accident with his wife and sustained severe injuries. He passed away on October 18, 2015, after falling from the seventh floor of his home.
