The Anime Allstars were formed in Germany in 1999 around the music producer Andy Knote. The group consists of a permanent ensemble - including Noel Pix, Fred Röttcher, Frank Schindel, Ronnie van Lankeren, Tina Frank, Petra Scheeser, Connie K. and Ruth Kirchner - supplemented by occasional guest singers such as Ariane Roth and Gerry Köhler. They perform German-language theme songs, endings and insert songs for anime series such as Digimon, Dragon Ball Z, Yu-Gi-Oh!, One Piece and Detective Conan. Several anime compilations were released between 2002 and 2007. The side project Toggo United produces songs for the Toggo program on Super RTL. After a break, the group returns in 2024, performs at anime conventions such as DoKomi and Sony Music releases a new compilation album, Anime Hits, in 2025, which reaches number 6 in the German charts. Albums such as ANIME HITS World of Digimon, ANIME HITS. Digimon, Anime Hits 1 and Anime Hits 2 are among the most successful albums. The most streamed songs include "Leb deinen Traum (Digimon)", "Cha-La Head Cha-La (Dragonball Z)", "Pokémon-Thema (Komm schnapp sie dir)" and "Die Legende (One Piece)".
