Biography

English-born Andrea Lindsay was born in 1976 in the Canadian city of Guelph, in the province of Ontario. A singer-songwriter, she fell in love with the French language during a stay in France at the age of 18. French and music are her two passions, and in 2006 she released her first solo album, La Belle Étoile. In 2009, she released her second album Les Sentinelles Dorment. During this period, she performed across Canada and Europe, and sang for Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II during her visit to Canada in 2010. That same year, she won the JUNO Francophone Album of the Year award, and was nominated for the Félix Popular Album of the Year at the ADISQ gala. In 2012, she released C'est d'l'Amour ou C'est Comme, a duet with singer-songwriter Luc De Larochellière. In 2016, Entre le Jazz et la Java is the singer's third opus, an album of jazz interpretations of favorite songs produced by Jordan Officer. In 2019, she returns in duet with Luc De Larochellière for the album S'il n'yait que Nous.
