Biography

Born on June 17, 1952 in Montreal, Canada, Fabienne Thibeault is a pop singer from Quebec. In 1974, she won the Festival internationale de la chanson de Granby. In 1976, she released her first album of the same name, followed the next year by La Vie d'Astheure and Au Doux Milieu de Nous in 1978. That same year, she made her European debut in the rock opera Starmania, playing the role of Marie-Jeanne, and scored a hit with her songs from the show: " La Complainte de la serveuse automate ", " Le Monde est stone ", " Les Uns contre les autres " and " Un Garçon pas comme les autres ". Fabienne Thibeault recorded six albums between 1980 and 1984, and charted on several radio stations, including " Conversation téléphonique " and " Secrétaire de star ". She moved to France in 1985, and that same year scored a number-one hit with the duet " Question de feeling " with Richard Cocciante. In the years that followed, she released the albums Sur Ma Voie in 1992, Québécoise in 1998, Made In Québec in 2004 and Notre Terre in 2006. In March 1998, she published the book Mincir. In the 2000s, she turned her attention to rural life in her home region of France. She was named Chevalier du monde agricole in 2004, then Officier in 2006. Fabienne Thibeault became a French citizen in 2008. In 2023, she was cast in the film Lave.
