Rosso, a Japanese garageârock group formed in 2001, emerged from the collaboration of guitarist and vocalist Yusuke Chiba, former TMGE member, and bassist Toshiyuki Terui, exâBlankey Jet City. The duo began recording in a home studio, producing their debut single "1000ã®ã¿ã³ããªã³" in July 2005, which introduced their raw, bluesâinfused style to the local scene. In 2002 the band released its first album Bird, featuring tracks such as "Wakusei ni Escalator" and "Sharon", establishing a cult following among underground rock enthusiasts. The 2004 followâup Dirty Karat expanded the lineup with guitarist Akinobu Imai and drummer Minoru Sato, and included the single "Outsider" that received modest radio play. In 2006 the group released its final studio effort Emissions, which showcased a more polished production while retaining their signature garage edge. Throughout its brief career, Rosso toured extensively across Japan, sharing stages with contemporaries in the Jârock circuit, though it never achieved mainstream chart success. The band disbanded later in 2006.
