An Evening at Elmwood was a post-hardcore band formed in Perth, Western Australia, in January 2007. The group initially included Chris Shalley, John Horner, Robert Livings, Rhys Dixon, and Jamie Calabrese. In 2007, they released Demo, and later that year, after lineup changes including the addition of Steve Caniglia on vocals, they launched their debut EP, Secrets. This release topped Myspace Music's unsigned artists chart for seven months. In 2008, the band released their final EP, Learn to Breathe, and performed at major festivals like the Taste of Chaos Tour and Soundwave Festival, sharing the stage with acts such as Rise Against and Incubus. The band disbanded in early 2009 following Jamie Calabrese's departure.
