Biography
Formed in Madagascar in 2001, pop rock band AmbondronA is one of the most high profile bands in the Malagasy music scene. The band is composed of six members: Kix, Honty, Beranto, Blanc, Carryl, and Mboux. They released their debut album, Lay Tanà na, in 2002. It was followed by Ny Ho Avy (2003), ⦠Ho Mandrakizay (2004), Tohizo Ihany⦠(2006), Fahadimy (2008), and Havaoziko (2013). AmbondronA has toured Madagascar as well as playing live shows throughout the Indian Ocean Islands, France and South Africa. In 2012, the band was selected by the United States Embassy in Antananarivo to take part in the International Visitorsâ Leadership Program that promoted âProtecting the Environment through Musicâ.
