Jesse Rivest, born in 1977 in Kelowna, Canada, is a singer-songwriter and guitarist. He began his musical journey in Calgary before moving to New Zealand and later Brazil, where he currently divides his time. In 2005, Jesse Rivest was recognized as a Best Newcomer Finalist in the Calgary Folk Music Festival Songwriting Contest for his song "Deadbeat Blues." His debut album Seventeen Oh-Two Oh-Six was released in 2006. In 2007, he performed live on Radio New Zealand, showcasing songs like "Mesmerize Me" and "Worth the Wait." During his time in Brazil, he collaborated with jazz/pop artist Tico de Moraes.
