Alisa, a Russian hard rock band, was founded in November 1983 by bassist Svyatoslav Zadery. Their name originated from Zadery's nickname. They completed their formation in 1984 with the addition of vocalist Kostya Kinchev and guitarist Petr Samoylov. Their debut album Energia (1988) sold over a million copies in the Soviet Union. Internal conflicts led to Zadery's departure just one hour before a concert. Albums include Shabash (1991) and For Those Who Fell from the Moon (1993). In the new millennium, their sound evolved with albums like Seychas Pozdnee, Chem Ty Dumayesh (2003) and Izgoy (2005), incorporating elements of nu, industrial, and heavy metal. They ranked among the top ten most popular Russian rock bands in a 2005 survey.
