Ali Payami is a Swedish record producer, songwriter, and DJ born in 1983 in Tehran, Iran. He moved to Malmö as a child and developed an interest in house music while DJing at school parties and clubs. After meeting Julius Petersson, he began collaborating with Max Martin and Shellback. Payami co-wrote and co-produced the Ariana Grande track âLove Me Harderâ (2014) and Taylor Swiftâs âStyleâ (2015). He received a Grammy Award for Album of the Year in 2016 for his work on the Swift album 1989 (2014). His professional breakthrough included the The Weeknd single âCan't Feel My Faceâ (2015), which reached Number 1 on the Billboard Hot 100. Payamiâs credits also include the Katy Perry single âChained to the Rhythmâ (2017) and the Liam Payne song âFor Youâ (2018). His albums include the Poppy release Zig (2023) and the Jason Derulo project Nu King (2024).
