Shelo is the stage name of a Marcelo Medel Muñoz, a Chilean urban artist who first made noise under the name Shelo A Lo Loko, starting with the single “Cachai o No Cachai” featuring Endo in 2015 and then linking up again with Endo and Mati Drugs on the 2018 track “A Lo Enfermo (Remix).” In 2020, he stepped into a wider Latin urbano lane with “Sin Ilusiones” alongside Darkiel, pairing his Chilean street-pop cadence with Darkiel’s melodic delivery. He followed in 2020 with a run of solo singles that kept the focus on punchy hooks and blunt storytelling—“Xvideos,” “Hay Algo en Ti,” and “Cachai o No Cachai Remix” featuring Mati Drugs. In 2021, he stayed active with his own releases “Encerra2,” “Terrorista Emocional” featuring El Diamante, and “Mari Mari” with Tito Flow & Criss J., while also appearing on collaborative records in Chile’s mainstream urbano wave, including “Me Contaron” with Balbi El Chamako, Adan La Amenaza, and Standly. In 2022, he continued popping up as a guest on tracks like “Tu Sa B” with Nicko Altain, Basty Corvalan & Lleflight.
