Alex Javier Ferreira, better known as Alex Kyza, is an American rapper, songwriter, and producer born on May 18, 1985, in New Jersey and raised in Puerto Rico, who became a foundational figure in Latin trap and reggaetón through his early 2010s mixtape work. He made his mark in the underground scene with the 2012 releases Street King and Solo Trap, collaborating with artists like De La Ghetto, Arcángel, Daddy Yankee, Ãengo Flow, Farruko, and Baby Rasta & Gringo. His soundâmarked by raw lyricism and heavy street influenceâhelped shape the identity of early Latin trap. Over the next decade, Alex Kyza continued to build on this foundation with projects like Up (2021), expanding his style and reach. In 2023, he dropped To Los Weekenes, followed by the standout 2024 chopped & screwed release San Alejandro: El Santo Del Trap (with Billie Dinero), featuring key tracks such as âHot Boyâ and âTo Los DÃas.â This album quickly became one of his most streamed projects, cementing his role as a veteran force in the genre. On February 7, 2025, he released âTe Ves Good,â continuing his run of solo material. Beyond his own catalog, Alex Kyza is recognized for key appearances on collaborative hits like 2016's âHáblame 2â (with Darkiel, Ãengo Flow, and Anuel AA) and 2019's Soy Bichote (Remix) alongside Pablo Chill-E, Kaydy Cain, Omar Montes, and Yung Beef.
