Biography

Son of singer-songwriter Albert Hammond, who scored a number of hits in the 1970s, Albert Hammond Jr. made his name with New York band The Strokes during the rock'n'roll revival of the 2000s. Born in Los Angeles in 1980, the guitarist has been pursuing his own career since the album Yours to Keep (2006), featuring his friends Sean Lennon, Ben Kweller and associate Julian Casablancas. Two years later followed the modestly successful ¿Cómo Te Llama? before The Strokes reunited for the albums Angles (2011) and Comedown Machine (2013). Released in 2013, the AHJ EP paves the way for his return with his own musicians to record Momentary Masters (2015).
