Ahlam bint Ali bin Hazeem Al Shamsi, known mononymously as Ahlam, was born on February 13, 1968, in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. She is an Emirati singer and actress raised in Bahrain. Her father, Ali Al Shamsi, is a folk singer. Ahlam began her music career with the release of I Love You till Death (1995), followed by several albums including Goodbye (1996) and How Do I Accept (1997). She gained significant recognition through her participation in various festivals, including Layali Dubai and performances at the UNESCO Festival and Albert Hall Festival. In 2011, Ahlam joined MBC's Arab Idol judging panel for four consecutive seasons. She also served as a judge and coach on The Voice: Ahla Sawt (2018). Notable albums include This is Me (2009) and Your Fantasy is Living with Me (2016). In 2022, she joined the panel of Saudi Idol.
