After the Fall, an Australian rock band from the Central Coast of New South Wales, was formed in 2000. The group consisted of vocalist and keyboardist Benjamin Windsor, drummer Andrew Atkins, bassist Matthew Gore, and guitarist Mark Edward Warner. Their debut EP, As Far As Thoughts Can Reach, was released in 2002 and featured the song "Three Quarter Binding", which received airplay on Triple J. The band gained traction through tours with acts like AFI, Dashboard Confessional, and 28 Days. In March 2005, they released Always Forever Now, which peaked at number 23 on the ARIA Charts and included the hit single "Concrete Boots". After the Fall performed at major festivals such as Homebake, Splendour in the Grass, and Livid, and toured internationally. The band released their third studio album, [In] Exile, independently through Roadrunner Records in 2009, followed by Bittersweet in 2012.
