Biography
Adán Cristóbal Cruz, born September 18, 1992, in Monterrey, Nuevo León, Mexico, began recording rap at 13 and initially shared his songs through MySpace. Inspired by Mexican acts including Cartel de Santa and Control Machete, as well as rock groups such as Linkin Park, he completed early independent albums in 2009 and 2011 before establishing himself as Adán Cruz. His 2014 album Ruido, el Silencio y Yo included âEy Paâ and âNo Doubt,â while the expansive Quiérelo followed in 2015 with âWe Made a Plan,â âCharla Pendiente,â and âPor los Que Queremos.â Adán Cruz continued with Eso Es in 2016, featuring Tomasa del Real on âUna Peta en el Barrio,â and collaborated with Alemán on the 2017 EP La Doble A. He released Hoja later that year and Entre la Vida y la Muerte in 2018. After joining Lc Padrino for Trap & Roll in 2020, Adán Cruz returned with the reflective Necesitaba Estar Hecho in 2021 and appeared alongside Alemán and Millonario on Cartel de Santaâs âTUY.â The two-volume Las Baladas del 19 series arrived in 2022, followed by a prolific 2024 that included Corazones en AlmÃbar, the reggaeton-focused ADANXITO, and Trufas, created with Shroom. In 2025, he revisited an earlier chapter through Ruido, el Silencio y Yo II, released Mundo Marihuana and Hip Hopotamo, and brought his career-spanning theatrical production to Mexico Cityâs Teatro Metropólitan. Hip Hopotamo included âRevisión de Rutina,â âOjos Polarizados,â and collaborations with Papi Masta and Big Sempa. He continued in 2026 with ADÃN CRUZ (EN VIVO), the five-track EP Attack from Mars!, and the single âMétodo Uve.â
