Biography

Aaron Michael Shust (October 31, 1975) is an American singer-songwriter who performs in the contemporary Christian music genre. Born in Chicago but raised in Pittsburgh, he studied music theory and classical music at the Toccoa Falls College in Georgia. While in college, he began performing his songs at local churches and cafés. Recorded with producer Dan Hannon, his studio debut Anything Worth Saying saw the light in 2005 via Brash Music and soared to the top of the Christian charts in the US. The album included his breakout single “My Savior, My God,” which peaked at Number 1 on Billboard’s Christian Airplay chart and won Song of the Year at the GMA Dove Awards of 2007 in Nashville, Tennessee. The single was certified gold by the RIAA shortly after. Following the release of the albums Whispered and Shouted (2007) and Take Over (2009), he parted ways with Brash and moved to Centricity, who released This Is What We Believe in 2015. Subsequently, Aaron Shust continued to engage with the Christian community on titles like Morning Rises (2013), Unto Us (2014), Doxology (2015), Love Made a Way (2017), and Nothing to Fear (2019), his first release under his own Shust Music label. In 2022, he returned to the charts with the Top 50 single “Every Morning.”
