A Handful of Dust, a New Zealand free noise band formed in 1984, consisted of guitarist Bruce Russell, violinist Alastair Galbraith, and drummer Peter Stapleton. The group's early releases included "A Little Aesthetic Discourse" in 1992. Their debut album Concord was released in 1993, marking a significant milestone in their career. Throughout the mid-1990s, they continued to release albums such as Musica Humana, The Philosophick Mercury, and Now Gods, Stand Up For Bastards. In 1998, they released Urban Psychogeography, Vol II: Jerusalem, Street of Graves followed by For Patti Smith in 2002. The band's discography also includes notable albums like Mares' Milk Mixed with Blood (2003) and Panegyric (2009).
