Biography

British rock band 3 Colours Red, formed in 1994 in London. The group consists of Pete Vuckovic on lead vocals and bass, Chris McCormack on guitar and vocals, Ben Harding on guitar and vocals, and Keith Baxter on drums. The band's name was derived from a random pin drop on an advertisement for the film Three Colors in a London listings magazine. The band's early career began with the release of their first single "This Is My Hollywood" in 1996 under Fierce Panda Records and Warner Chappell Music. They later signed to Creation Records, where they recorded two UK Top 20 albums: Pure (1997) and Revolt (1999). Notable singles from these albums include "Sixty Mile Smile" and "Beautiful Day", which achieved significant chart success. During their peak, 3 Colours Red toured extensively with notable acts. However, the band disbanded after the Reading and Leeds Festivals in 1999 due to musical and personal differences. In 2002, Vuckovic and McCormack reformed 3 Colours Red with original drummer Keith Baxter and new guitarist Paul Grant. They released the album The Union of Souls in 2004, which received critical acclaim but limited commercial success. The band toured Europe and Japan before disbanding again in September 2005, following a UK farewell tour.
