Biography

1000 Mona Lisas were an American punk band from Hollywood, California. Formed in 1992, the group consisted of Armando Prado on guitar and vocals, Gianni Neiviller on bass and vocals, and Rocco Bidlovski on drums and vocals. The band performed throughout Southern California and conducted DIY touring along the west coast. During a live performance at The Whisky A Go Go, they covered "You Oughta Know" by Alanis Morissette. This cover was included as a hidden track on their debut EP entitled The EP, released in 1995. After signing with RCA Records, the band released their full-length album New Disease on February 27, 1996, produced by Geza X. The album was the first major label release offered via the internet before its street date through IUMA (Internet Underground Music Archive).
