Biography
Zulema Cusseaux, known professionally as Zulema, was born on January 3, 1947, in Tampa, Florida. She began her music career as a singer and songwriter. In the late 1960s, she formed the trio Faith, Hope and Charity with Brenda Hilliard and Albert Bailey, releasing their hit single "So Much Love" in 1970. She left the group in 1971 to pursue a solo career, starting with her self-titled debut album on Sussex Records in 1972. She then signed with RCA Records and released several albums, including R.S.V.P. (1975) and Suddenly There Was You (1976). Her single "Wanna Be Where You Are" reached number 58 on the R&B chart. She passed away on September 30, 2013.
