Biography
Zofia Kilanowicz, a Polish operatic soprano born on May 15, 1963, in Nowy Targ, studied at the music school in her hometown before progressing to the Kraków Academy of Music under Helena Åazarska. She won several prestigious awards during her studies, including the Ada Sari Vocal Art Competition and the Karol Szymanowski Competition. In 1989, Kilanowicz made her operatic debut as Konstanze in Mozart's El rapto en el serrallo at the Warsaw Chamber Opera. She performed as a soloist for ten years at the Théâtre de la Monnaie in Brussels and gained international recognition with performances at venues such as Paris' Théâtre des Champs-Ãlysées and Carnegie Hall in New York City.
