Biography

Pevar Den, a Breton music group from France, were formed in 1995. The band initially consisted of Jean-Claude Riou on violin and Thierry Lahais on bombarde and veuze, who were joined by flautist Pol Jézéquel and guitarist Hervé Cureau. Their debut album, Pevar Den, was released in 1998. In 2002, they released their second album, Fest Noz. The group continued to evolve with changes in personnel, including Florian Juillard replacing Thierry Lahais on bombarde and veuze in April 2009, Yann Simon taking over flûte traversière and biniou from Youenn Le Cam in 2012, and Yann Le Gall replacing Hervé Cureau on guitar acoustique in 2001. Their subsequent albums include Dek Vloaz (2005) and Pad An Noz (2008). Pevar Den are known for their contributions to the fest-noz scene, a traditional Breton dance event.
