Biography

A Haitian kompa group formed by Alex Abellard, Eddy Saint-Vil and Alan Cavé, Zin opened its recording account in 1988 with a debut album entitled O Pa, which featured a track that would become emblematic of its repertoire: "Fè'm vole" (i.e. "Make me fly"). Since then, Zin's career has been marked by more than a dozen albums, including the classics Yo Pou Zin, Sa Zin Gen La, Kanpe Sou Bit, 3 Lèt Sèlman and Pi Rèd, their latest opus released in 2008. A true pillar of Haitian music, Zin returned to the forefront of the music scene in 2022 with the announcement of an international tour, which saw the group with a career spanning three decades visit Canada and the United States. Among their greatest hits is "Se Pa Pou Dat".
