Biography

After spending many years at the Conservatoire de Valence, where she studied cello, piano and dance, Anne Sila, born on March 5, 1990 in Valence, left France at the age of 20 for New York, where she immersed herself in the jazz scene while developing an interest in world music. Back in France, she decided to devote herself to singing, and entered The Voice, la Plus Belle Voix . Selected in 2015 for the 4th season, she convinced coach Florent Pagny to accompany her and reached the final, failing to beat Lilian Renaud. Her covers of Francis Cabrel, Calogero, Alicia Keys, Evanescence and Sia nevertheless won over the public, who gave a warm welcome to her first original single, "Le Monde tourne sans toi" (No. 33 in France), preceding the album Amazing Problem, which she prepared with American pianist Ray Angry, who has worked with Whitney Houston in the past. In 2017, she joined the cast of the musical Jesus, from Nazareth to Jerusalem, in the role of Mary, then, in 2019, she was the voice of Nala in the CGI version of The Lion King . That same year, she unveils her new studio album, Fruit Défendu . This was followed in 2021 by À Nos Cœurs, with the title "Même si ça fait mal" . A year later, the singer returned with an album of covers: Madeleines, rereadings of songs that marked her childhood. She pays tribute to Joe Dassin, Dalida and Mike Brant.
