Biography
Born in 1998, Malian-born artist Youssouf Keita, who goes by the stage name Yuz Boy, also nicknamed Vieux Père, emerged on the French rap scene in 2022 with the EP Zazga, featuring the tracks "Bako", "Airbag" and "Funambule", produced by After Berlin, Mars 88 and Squarez. The rapper then joins the cast of Nouvelle Ãcole, a show broadcast on Netflix that showcases talent from the rap scene. During the broadcast, his second EP, Sajé, is released, featuring the tracks "Une Fois d'trop", "Nuit et brouillard " and the title track. Yuz Boy won the competition in the second season, against a jury including Niska, SCH and Shay. The day after the final was broadcast in 2023, the press revealed that a complaint had been lodged against him by a young woman accusing him of three rapes against her. However, this did not hinder the release of his single "Yafama - Nouvelle Ãcole", a trap track he recorded with Bassey Kone.
